There is hope for me yet
because God won't forget,
all the plans he has made for me
I have to wait and see...

recently, there has been many occasions that got our tears out, and our hearts out to keep praying.

i must say, i am so proud of this spiritual family. weathering through rain or smiling together in the shine. awesome peeps.

truly great people, and a very special mention to eric and atom. even as i am typing this, i believe eric is still hard at sermon now. i so proud of him and atom. they have definitely fought the good fight through this storm. a role model to all of us.

love you church.

and i am really looking forward to the short break home. :) pls pray that i wont be quarantined. or i wont get much of a break left. amen. :)

You're the God of this City
You're the King of these people
You're the Lord of the nations
You Are

You're the Light in the darkness
You're the Hope to the hopeless
You're Peace to the restless
You Are

There is no one like Our God

Greater things have yet to come
Greater things are still to be done in this city
Greater things have yet to come
Greater things are still to be done here.

amen.

perhaps, today's rain inspired me to water the blog drought over here. :)

i simply can't believe that time passes so quickly, that i literally didn't manage to jot down the happenings over here! heaps happened! and praise God, His goodness and love endureths forever!

really grateful for His providence and timing of things. getting the hang of things slowly but surely in the workplace- it's been great pleasure working with these fun and adorable ladies and gentlemen. i learn a very important lesson in my work over here, that is, everyone deserves the best, if not the best-est quality of life whenever possible, and YOU can make it happen for someone else if you put your heart to it.

it's been tough many times i must say. confronting and out of comfort zones at times. i never thought that i would work with clients with intellectually disabilities, but interestingly, i am doing that right now. and it's a great experience.

i love my internship too at council. i really love working in the area of welfare. and i PRAISE THE LORD for placing me in the area where church is! hallelujah! how divine is that! God is good, and He leads. He guides. He supports. He encourages.

i love the people in the council too. ever motivated, and genuinely interested in bringing welfare to people. being in the youth department opens my eyes to see the needs of current youths, and to put myself in their shoes even more.

i have ten thousand things on my 'PRAISE the Lord' list. for friends, for family, for church. for everything. i praise you Lord, and i pray may I continue to walk in Your steps as you guide me.

what are the things that you can do, when it is a sweltering 43degrees outside?

1. Cook some piping hot dumplings, eat it, and sweat it out.
2. Frantically look around the house for some extra fans that you can pull out, together with the duct cooling.
3. Do some laundry- i bet your clothes will be crisp and dry in 15 min time, spare the ironing.
4. Turn on the teevee (like now) and watch Serena W and Elena D. in action for the semis in aust open! woohooo.
5. As we watch, dig into the freezer and find some ice cream cones (if any left) and savour it.

i think that's quite a bit to do already, in a sweltering 43 degree summer.

gong xi gong xi!!

we made some chinese dumplings- i reckon there were at least 200 of em, and ate them to celebrate chinese new year's eve. it was really an interesting affair, with colombians helping to wrap the dumplings in their style! and i made some cool curry puff styles too.. pats on my back. HAHA. but lorena said they looked ugly. o well, beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder.

it's been an eventful week. praise God for His wonderful blessings, and i was deeply blessed with a casual instructor job at a disability centre very much. praise God for His wonderful timing. though work was challenging, and physically exhausting, i trust that the Lord will guide me through what He has brought me to.

i am thankful that before i started work, i had a pretty relaxing time, watching the awesome australian open. it's one big thing that i really look forward to! it's prolly of my bestest relaxation and enjoyment!

and i cant help to grin like a cheshire cat when federer turned the tables around and won his match todayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!

anyway, i am indeed grateful for what He has done in my life through this year. i would think i shed much tears, but i did reap much with joy too in little ways, in many little aspects of my life. i saw the power of prayer, intercession for ppl you know are on the brink of giving up; i saw the power of prayer for His providence in lives of people. and the list goes on.

alright, happy moo year. :) i shall enjoy it with watching some good tennis. :)

merry 2009 and happy christmas!

08 was a year of un-expected surprises (or even shocks). :)

praise God for the eventful year, i bet i will have many stories to tell my grandchildren in future just cos of 08 alone. :)

just in case you guys think i have forgotten all back home, be assured i am very much still thinking about all of you!

09, i hope you will be a year filled with great love, grace, and mercy once more, and you will be a year that many breakthroughs are witnessed. in God's grace and name, amen.
